A device for cutting out jewelry elements from tape
The presented device is used to cut out jewelry elements from silver tape wound on a spool. The machine’s work cycle begins with pulling out the appropriate length of tape, followed by cutting out the element. Finally, the tape residue is cut into smaller pieces to prepare the waste for melting.
The machine can operate in 3 modes: automatic, according to a set number of cycles, manual. Additionally, in order to prevent the press from being destroyed, a system was installed that detects the length of the tape being pulled out and triggers an alarm if too little of it is pulled out. The machine allows for adjusting the length of the tape being pulled out.
The device was to use a pneumatic press provided by the customer. Our goal was to adapt it and build a fully automatic station.
